Aside from developing flavors, my favorite part of MCRN Bar is styling and shooting the monthly images. Here are some of my favorites! And pssss -- March flavors are up >> www.mcrnbar.com

  • say hello to my little friend, mcrnbar!

Adults:  "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
    Me at age 10: "A teacher-slash-photographer-slash-baker."

On a recent trip to New York, my cousin Brandy reminded me of the nights we'd spend as young girls talking and giggling about our dreams until the sun came up.  It was during these dream-talks, that I declared one day I'd be a teacher/photographer/baker and she a designer in New York City. Fast forward 15 years: check, check, check.  Never would I have imagined my childhood aspirations would actually amount to something.  If I've learned anything, though, it's that even if you're feeling lost and unsure of how life is going to turn out - let your passions guide your actions and work hard. Life will unfold exactly as it should: manifest destiny.

After several months of development, botched batches, and anxiety-filled nights, I'm excited to finally open MCRNbar to the public.  If you've been reading my blog for the past couple months, you know how excited I was about finally being able to make macarons this past spring.  It was truly the kind words from readers and support from my best friends that encouraged me to take the leap of faith and do something with my newfound obsession.  I still have so much to learn and a ways to go, but I'm hopeful that this is just the beginning of a very exciting journey!

MCRNbar is sort of like your wine-of-the-month club, but with Southern-inspired macarons. I'd be delighted if you checked out the site to find out more! Also, don't forget about the Stella&Dot x MCRNbar giveaway, where you can win $50 to S&D and an order of macarons from MCRNbar: here. xo
