My New Orleans Guide For Holiday Shopping

There’s an exciting new crop of shops in New Orleans, each with its own unique selection of products. Here’s where I’m headed this season to check off my holiday shopping lists!

Box Paper Scissor (3900 Magazine Street) – For the stationary aficionados. Box Paper Scissors carries a wide range of paper products, designer objects, and unique coffee table books. I’m seriously coveting the Maison Margiela bookmarks and quirky Keith Haring candles.

RomneyShop at Romney Studios (5619 Magazine Street) – For the health nut who lives in athleisure wear. Romney carries cool, independent gym clothes that motivates just about anyone to spend hours at the 5-in-1light-filled fitness studio.

Sunday Shop (2025 Magazine Street) – For the interior design lovers who collect thoughtful items for the home. I’m already planning my Aesop products shopping spree.

The Stacks Bookstore (900 Camp Street) – For the bookworms, The Stacks carries an interesting selection of books and prints from art and architecture to photography and design.

Billy Reid (3927 Magazine Street) – For the stylish Southerners. My personal favorite Southern designer!

Freda (600 Carondelet Street) – For the inner Texan. Products and clothing are distinctly earthy with many independent brands.

Krewe (900 Royal Street) – For the cool cats. Now a CFDA runner-up brand, Krewe needs no introduction. Their flagship store is one of my favorite stops for its beautiful display of shades and cool courtyard (with mini espresso bar to boot).

The Elizabeth Chronicles (5430 Magazine Street) – For the party planner. The little t-shirt company that could is now a bonafide shop! I love the focus on vibrant party supplies, fun accessories, and of course t-shirts in the fun blush-tone shop.

Friend (600 Carondelet Street) – For the understated guy in your life. Friend carries mellow menswear brands and accessories.

United Apparel Liquidators (518 Chartres Street) – For the designer lover who loves a good hunt. At UAL, you’ll find past season high end designer fashions for up to 70% off. I’ve walked away with $20 Alexander Wang tees and $100 Giuseppe Zanotti heels here!

The French Library (3811 Magazine Street) – For the littles, this adorable book shop carries the largest selection of French children’s books and even has a cafe in the back!

Loomed (2727 Prytania Street) – For the textile collector, Loomed’s Turkish towels is easily my go-to item to gift to just about anyone. I just their pestamels for everything!

Hattie Sparks (939 Girod Street) – For the local lover, Hattie Sparks is a great space to discover local designers doing fun stuff with accessories, prints, and clothing.

Defend New Orleans (600 Carondelet Street) – For the New Orleans enthusiast, you’ll find gritty New Orleans memorabilia and clothing in both uptown and downtown locations.

Euclid Records (3301 Chartres Street) – For the music lover, rows and rows of vinyls from the classics to new releases.

Pilot + Powell (3901 Magazine Street) – For the fashionista, this newly opened store has all the contemporary fashion brands that matter in a beautifully designed space.

FAM (305 Decatur Street) – For the hip urban guy, cool streetwear including sweaters, jeans, and accessories.
